Yesterday,Senate president Bukola Saraki,arrived Obasanjo’s Hilltop
residence in Abeokuta with Senators Ahmed Yerima, Andy Uba, Tayo
Alasoadura and Danjuma Goje ,former National Secretary of the Peoples
Democratic Party and a former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye
Oyinlola, and a former acting National Chairman of the PDP, Kawu
Baraje...All of whom defected from the PDP.
.Speaking about the team’s 2 hour closed door meeting with
Obasanjo, Saraki told journalists they had come to pay homage and seek the former
President’s advice and blessings .He also admitted the crises in APC would soon be a thing of the past
“I’m here with some of my colleagues. We are here to pay our homage to him, seek his advice, get his blessings and also consult (with him).
“We all know President Obasanjo’s value to this country and we are here to tap from his wisdom, knowledge and experience.”“As you can see, things are moving smoothly. Definitely, be rest assured that all that (the crisis) would be put behind us very shortly. We are very confident about that.”
